RED
In January China issued an outline of broadcast rules which clearly stated that any television programs “should not feature actors with tattoos [or depict] hip hop culture, sub-culture (non-mainstream culture) and dispirited culture (decadent culture)”. Because of this regulation, a lot of young Chinese rappers could not perform on TV or hold a show in China. All the lyrics were heavily censored and hundreds of songs were deleted on the internet.

This collection, as a commentary on this issue, is also a little protest from an upset hip-hop lover.

With this collection, the ideal is to create a fantasy if a dystopian world. In this world, there’s a demon called RED that has the control of the society. It is everywhere. It lives in your computers, iPhones and on the internet. It’s feed of the sensitive outside information.

RED is the representation of the over controlling Chinese authority that exists everywhere inside the nation.
